Yes, grew about I suppose about 30 acres of corn, maybe a bit more. Potatoes, you know, and food for the cattle. Mangles, kale, swedes, all this sort of thing.
The Corn Merchants would buy the corn. Lee Thomas in Newport, or one was in [inaudible], you know, there were farmers trading. They’d all buy the corn, you know, this sort of thing.
Potatoes, one of the vegetable wholesalers in Newport would take the potatoes. Any spare cattle went into the market and you know, the Milk Board had the milk obviously.
