Judith Walker on Cows

We used to … he used to feed the cows in the winter. They were mainly turned out if the weather wasn’t too bad and this was when he had a tractor and he would throw the hay out from the bales on the field and we used to drive the tractors from about seven onwards, we’d always be driving.

Whatever there was to do, you know?

If the cows had to go along the road and in the field opposite we used to help take them along the road. Calf the cows, used to help pull the calves out, anything that needed doing.
