Channel Island and Friesian. Friesian were very productive, they used to give a greater quantity of milk but the Channel Islands cows gave a creamier milk so it was more quality in there.

Some people still prefer it, you can still buy full cream milk, but mainly they were after quantity.

I suppose the milk cheque each month was bigger if you had a greater quantity of milk so they had a mixed herd at Park Farm.
