Betty Prescott

Betty Prescott nee Squib
Peggy Jolliffe | Trevor Strickland
Born in St Helens, Betty grew up on Bright’s Farm in Pondwell.
Unable to join the Wrens at 18, she worked on the huge tomato farm in Knighton during the second world war.
A very keen walker, Betty has walked the Wight three times.
Having led a rich and interesting life, Betty has some wonderful stories to tell.
